Space-Time’s John Ellenberger gives Keynote at “Health Decisions Made Easy”

John Ellenberger of Space-Time Research provided a keynote address to the King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center symposium on “Health Decisions Made Easy” in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The symposium brought together experts from hospitals and community health organizations locally and internationally. The purpose was to increase the awareness and interest in the usage of dissemination technologies in the hospital; in support of patient care; and in the community for epidemiological pursuits of better health.

John’s talk titled “Making Health Statistics Relevant” discussed how, through the use of Metadata, Visualization and Data services, you can deliver on the key data communication principles, namely, Timeliness,  Quality and Accessibility.

Further addresses were made by Bill Davenhall and Ann Bossard of ESRI and Mahmoud Batlouni, Lebanon Project Director for the Center for Legislative Development at the State University of New York /Albany (SUNY/CLD), USA.

Shazia Naz Subhani, Senior Technical Specialist and Head Registries Core Facility and Bushra Siddiqui, Technical Specialist and Head Evidence-based Decision Support Group, also spoke on the research arising from the data and analysis.
